Refund Policy

Last updated

In short: the 7-day free trial is the time to try a plan. A yearly plan can be refunded within 7 days. If we charged you by mistake, you get all of it back. You can cancel any time, and cancelling stops every future charge.

Bought in the App Store? A subscription bought inside the Agent Remote app is sold by Apple, so its refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple decides them. The rest of this page is about plans bought on this website.

Agent Remote is operated by HDT Software Services. Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record.

1. Yearly plans: 7 days

You can have a full refund within 7 days of:

  • your first payment for a yearly plan; and
  • each yearly renewal.

This applies only to a yearly plan you buy new. Switching an existing monthly plan to yearly billing is a plan change: it is covered by section 4, not by this 7-day refund. No reason is needed. When the refund is made, the plan ends and your workspace moves to Free. Nothing on your computer is deleted. A refunded plan cannot be bought again at the launch price, and the free trial is not offered again.

2. Billing mistakes

If you were charged twice, bought the wrong plan by mistake, or were charged after you cancelled, tell us and we refund that charge in full. This applies to monthly and yearly plans.

3. What is not refunded

The first payment for a monthly plan is not refunded. The 7-day free trial is there so you can try the plan first. Monthly renewals are not refunded. Cancel before the next renewal date and you will not be charged again; you keep your plan until the end of the month you have paid for. A yearly payment older than 7 days is not refunded. The charge for moving up a plan (section 4) is not refunded. Credit from moving down or from moving to monthly billing (section 4) is not paid out to your card; it pays your later bills. Billing mistakes (section 2) are always refunded.

4. Changing your plan

Every change happens straight away. There is no waiting until the end of the period: your workspace moves to the new plan the moment the change goes through. Before you confirm, the billing page shows what you will pay today or keep as credit, and your next bill.

Moving up, for example from Pro to Pro Max, or from monthly to yearly billing, is charged today. The unused part of what you already paid is taken off, so you pay only the difference. This charge is not refunded, and that includes switching from monthly to yearly billing: the 7-day refund in section 1 is only for a yearly plan you buy new.

Moving down, for example from Pro Max to Pro, or from yearly to monthly billing, ends the higher plan or the yearly period straight away. The days you have already used are kept for what they cost. The unused part becomes a credit on your Paddle account, worked out from what you actually paid, including any launch discount and tax. The credit is used up automatically on your next bills. It is not paid back to your card.

An example. You pay $30 for a 30-day month and move down to a $15 plan on day 10. You have used 10 days, so $10 of your payment is kept for them. The other 20 days are worth $20. The new plan for those same 20 days costs $10, which is taken from that $20, and the $10 left becomes credit. Next month the new plan costs $15, the credit pays $10 of it, and your card pays $5. Nothing goes back to your card. (These figures are only an example; the billing page shows your real ones before you confirm.)

Changing between monthly and yearly billing restarts your billing date from the day you change. Your next bill is one month or one year from that day.

The launch price is once per workspace. Switching plan on the same billing period keeps it for the time left on your original offer. Switching between monthly and yearly billing ends it, and the regular price applies from then on.

5. Cancelling

To cancel, choose Manage billing on the billing page, then cancel. The cancel takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. You keep your plan until then, and nothing more is charged. Cancelling does not refund that period; if a yearly payment is still within the 7 days of section 1, ask for a refund as in section 7. When the period ends, your workspace moves to Free. If you come back later, the launch price and the free trial are not offered again.

6. The free trial

The 7-day trial asks for no card, so nothing is charged during it and there is nothing to refund. If you do not choose a plan, your workspace moves to Free when the trial ends.

7. How to ask

Write to us from the support page with the email address you paid with, or reply to the receipt you received. Subscriptions are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record, so you can also ask Paddle directly through paddle.net. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with; your bank may take a few days to show it.

8. Your rights

This policy adds to your rights; it never takes any away. If the law where you live gives you more, such as a right to cancel within 14 days, you keep it. Refunds are also covered by Paddle's buyer terms and by consumer law where you live. See also our terms.
